The short version
- Kinder Path helps you find welcoming things to do. It's a wellness tool, not therapy or emergency care.
- Listings come from libraries, parks and other organizers. We check them, but always confirm details with the venue.
- Be kind in circles. We remove content and accounts that aren't.
- Plus is an optional subscription billed by Apple. You can cancel any time in your iPhone Settings.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and WayBetter Technologies LLC ("we", "us") for the Kinder Path app and kinderpath.org (together, "Kinder Path"). By using Kinder Path, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use Kinder Path
You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms. Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
3. Not medical or emergency care
Kinder Path supports small, positive steps. It does not provide medical, mental-health or crisis services and is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the U.S.) or call 911.
4. Listings and going to events
- Listings describe events and places run by other people and organizations. We don't run, sponsor or supervise them.
- We check listings against their original pages, but dates, times, costs and access can change. Please confirm with the organizer before you go.
- Use your own judgment and take normal safety precautions when meeting people. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for what happens at events or places you find through Kinder Path.
5. Community rules
In circles, posts and anything you submit:
- Be kind and respectful. No harassment, hate, threats or bullying.
- No sexual content, dating solicitation, spam, sales pitches or requests for money.
- Don't share other people's private information or impersonate anyone.
- Don't post anything illegal or unsafe.
We may review, hide or remove content and pause or close accounts that break these rules. You can report content or block a member at any time.
6. Your content
You own what you write. You give us permission to store and show it within Kinder Path, only as needed to run the service (for example, showing your circle posts to circle members). Your journal and check-ins are shown only to you.
7. Organizer submissions
If you submit a listing, you confirm the information is accurate and that you're allowed to share it. We may edit it for clarity, or decline or remove it under our Listing guidelines. Listing is free.
8. Kinder Path Plus
- Plus is an optional subscription: $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year (U.S. prices; other countries may vary).
- Free trial: the yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your yearly subscription starts and you're charged. The monthly plan starts right away with no trial.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price until you cancel. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before each renewal.
- Cancel anytime: on your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Kinder Path Plus → Cancel Subscription. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Everything that's free today stays free. If we change Plus prices, Apple will notify you first.
9. Our app and content
Kinder Path's design, text, photos and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own personal use. Please don't copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer it.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
11. Disclaimers and limits
Kinder Path is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no guarantees that it will be error-free or always available. Our total responsibility for any claim related to Kinder Path is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Kinder Path or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
